What is NIOS Stream-2?
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has initiated a Stream-2 scheme for students who have not cleared their 10th or 12th standard examinations on any board, such as the CBSE, ICSE and state boards. This is a unique scheme where the students can appear for their exams on the particular subjects they did not take. It gives them an opportunity to pass and gain certification from NIOS. Exam Schedule for NIOS Stream-2
The examination of NIOS Stream 2 for the students belonging to the secondary and senior secondary classes is conducted in most cases in the months of September and October. Students are required to submit the following documents for NIOS Admission Stream-2:
For Secondary Admission
- The original failed mark sheet and admit card
- Photocopy of Aadhar Card
- Two coloured passport-size photographs with the candidate’s name and date
- Parents’ or guardian’s address proof
For Senior Secondary Admission:
- The original failed mark sheet and admit card
- 10th grade mark sheet and passing certificate (with a photocopy)
- Photocopy of Aadhar Card
- Two coloured passport-size photographs with the candidate’s name and date
- Parents’ or guardian’s address proof
